The Genuine Old Barn Brand Farmhouse Table
Here at Big Country Trading Post, we know from experience that our customers appreciate well made home furnishings that are really unique to the marketplace. Therefore we’re very pleased to present you with an opportunity to own some genuine American architectural history by ordering a handmade Genuine Old Barn Brand Farmhouse Table.
We’ve found these tables to be popular with folks who love antiques, as well as those who want a fashionably nostalgic and striking piece to showcase in their homes. And as we’ve heard many times, the look and story behind the vintage wood in a customer’s table almost always seems to provide for interesting conversation with visitors.
Every Genuine Old Barn Brand Farmhouse Table features a plank style tabletop made from your choice of select antique oak or antique beech lumber salvaged from dismantled old barns in the Midwest and South. Each tabletop displays the warm aged patina of truly old wood along with evidence if its former life, including some nail holes with associated mineral staining and traces of the original 19th Century circular sawmill markings. Hand planed and sanded to preserve the aged wood’s subtle topography, your top is finished with a specially formulated penetrating oil to bring out all the natural beauty and character in the wood, followed by multiple coats of clear satin urethane to provide years of protection and durability. The beaded table apron and traditional turned farmhouse legs are crafted from new hardwood and receive an antiqued black over barn red painted finish, then are carefully hand distressed to achieve an authentic time-worn look. Finally, your table is assembled, inspected, and prepared for shipping.
Perhaps you can picture one of these distinctive tables nestled comfortably in your own home, or maybe as a gift for a loved one. If so, ordering by credit card is as easy as completing the simple and secure online form below and submitting it to us electronically. Just select your favorite tabletop wood – either Antique Weathered Siding Oak or Antique Tobacco Barn Beech, and choose the table length you wish – either 6ft., 7ft., or 8 ft. – that’s all there is to it.
We request that you allow us approximately 6-8 weeks from the date of your order to complete your table and have it packaged and ready for shipping. (Please Note: To reduce the possibility of damage during transit, table legs are removed and packaged separately from the tabletop assembly, allowing the legs to be easily reinstalled upon delivery.) As soon as your table has been completed, we’ll notify you by telephone with the shipping arrangements and estimated delivery date.
Once again, we’re pleased here at Big Country Trading Post to be able to offer the exceptional handmade Genuine Old Barn Brand Farmhouse Table. We hope you’ll want to have one custom built just for you, and that it will be used and cherished for generations to come!!
          Thanks so much,
